Michael filmed 10 new installments of his hugely popular “Time to Burn” column for Guitar World Magazine on Thursday June 4th, 2009. This officially makes Michael the longest running columnist in the history of the Magazine!

Michael was at the Dean Headquarters in Tampa, Florida on Monday April 18th, 2009 to autograph the entire first shipment of new MAB signature guitars. Photos of the event are now posted in the Road Photos 2009 section of our site. Michael also went back to the Dean Headquarters to sign the second shipment of MAB signature guitars on Monday May 18th, 2009. The MAB series is a big success for Michael and Dean Guitars. A special thanks to owner Elliott R. and everyone at Dean Guitars for their continued commitment to Michael.

Michael is almost finished recording his new solo CD to be released in August, 2009. The title of the record is “Hands Without Shadows 2 - Voices.” It is, as the title suggests, an all vocal CD. Michael will also be performing plenty of his signature, virtuoso guitar solos as well on the new album. Special guests on “HWS 2 - Voices” include Mark Tremonti, Vinnie Moore, George Bellas, Bill Peck and Dave Shankle.

Michael will also be releasing a new DVD this Summer titled “Speed Lives 3” featuring his song “The Finish Line.” This is a Metal Method Production, featuring Doug Marks directing and producing the DVD. Sarah Spisak will again be transcribing, notating the booklet and creating the scorch files.

Michael recently performed with legendary drummer Carmine Appice, Dean Guitars owner Elliott Rubinson and Uli Jon Roth in Germany at the Frankfurt Musikmesse. He also performed in Tahiti with Grammy nominated guitarist Florent Atem and keyboardist Carole Atem. We will have photos posted soon.
